Robert was inspired to begin his work after experiencing bullying himself at school. He is now the author of two books on bullying - What Have I Ever Done To You? and Matty Doyle’s Monster and he has spoken about his experiences in various media, including Radio 1 and 2, Sky News, BBC Breakfast, BBC 7 and Martial Arts Illustrated.
In primary schools Robert provides Anti-Bullying Workshops that are designed to improve self esteem and build confidence and emotional resilience in children and young people.
In secondary schools and colleges Robert presents his powerful one man drama - The Boy In The Photograph. The play’s gritty realism and honesty provide a powerful and emotive forum to engage young people and adults with a strong Anti-Bullying message.
Robert is a core member of the Anti-Bullying Alliance (ABA) and has worked extensively with two local education authorities as both an Anti-Bullying Development Officer and an Anti-Bullying Co-ordinator working to implement strategy and a range of initiatives in local schools.
