Welcome to the Northamptonshire Healthy Schools Website.

This website supports Northamptonshire schools by providing support materials and information on a range of Northamptonshire Healthy Schools programmes. These include achieving Healthy Schools Status, working on the Enhancement Model, Healthy Early Years, Speakeasy and Family SEAL training.

Advisor Support

There are a team of 3 advisors who cover the county working with schools and early years settings to help develop health and wellbeing actions plans to improve healthy lifestyles.

  • Using audit tools that identify strengths and areas for development
  • Completing pupil surveys and providing a report of results.
  • Examples of good practice and outcomes in local schools.
  • Training on a range of issues, including SpeakEasy and Family SEAL
  • Primary School health-themed assemblies.
  • Celebration events at individual schools or as a much larger ceremony hosted by the Healthy Schools Team.
  • Advice and signposting to local and national organisations who can provide support and resources.
  • A quarterly e-newsletter to keep schools up to date with news on health and wellbeing in the county.
