Speakeasy Facilitator Training Programme

Fancy a challenge?
Want to gain a qualification?
Have the confidence to talk to young people about sex and relationships?

You'll be surprised what you already know.” The aim of the Speakeasy Facilitator course is to equip PSA’s, FSW’s, TA’s and Childrens Centre workers to deliver the Family Planning Association Speakeasy course for parents and carers.

Training is relaxed and activity-based. The training is accredited at level three with the Open College Network (OCN). The Speakeasy facilitator’s handbook that supports the training provides an in-depth resource including session plans, parent worksheets, handouts and suggestions for developing the work further.

Training takes place over three days with a gap between the first two and the third, allowing facilitators to deliver a course to parents and carers.

For parents and carers the Speakeasy course offers a flexible and relaxed way to gain greater confidence in an area that can cause embarrassment and awkwardness. The emphasis is on making the courses as accessible as possible for those who will benefit.
